Adding a video to your ad gets your ad noticed. Get that camera ready!

To add a YouTube video:

1	From the Post Your Ad page, the option to add a video link can be found in the Media section.

2	Insert the video’s link into the provided Video field. Make sure to use the shorter URL found in the address bar and not the longer share URL.

Please remember to keep your video family friendly! Once uploaded, videos can be viewed from the ad’s page or in a larger size by clicking View Larger Image.

Can you put a video on Kijiji?

Absolutely - and you should. Adding a video to your listing helps it stand out from the rest of the listings on the search results page. Get that camera ready!

How to post a video on Kijiji

Directly add a video from your mobile device (*currently available in the real estate category on the Kijiji app*)

To upload your 30 sec video to the app:

Click on the ‘Post’ icon at the bottom of the app and choose a category. From there, you’ll see the ‘Add a video’ section under the ‘Add a photo’ section.

Select a video from your image / video library.
The video can be as brief as 5 seconds, and a maximum of 30 seconds. You can edit your video with the trimming tool on the app if you have one that’s longer.
Video resolution should be at least 480p and in one of these formats: MP4, MOV, FLV, AAC, AVI, 3GP, MPEG. Make sure that the maximum file size doesn’t exceed 100MB.
Once you’ve uploaded the video, we’ll review it to make sure the content is safe for the Kijiji community.
After we review and approve your video—voila! It’ll be live on your listing.

💡 Kijiji video tip: remember to keep your video family friendly and avoid uploading any personal identifiable information. If the contents of your video contain prohibited content or violate our posting policies, unfortunately, your video and listing will not be published.

Viewing videos

To find listings with videos, look for a green play icon on the search results page. Once you find and open a listing with a green play icon, you’ll see the uploaded video as the first piece of media in the carousel. Click the play button to watch the full size video!

Add a Youtube video

To add a YouTube video link:

Click on the ‘Post’ icon at the bottom of the app.
Once you’ve selected your category, and subsequently, your subcategory, you can add a YouTube video link at the bottom of the page in the provided Video field.

Once you’ve added the link of the YouTube video to your listing, Kijiji users will have the option to view the video by clicking the ‘Watch YouTube video’ option under the listing description.

Reporting videos

If you see any videos that need our attention, you can always flag them by selecting the three dots in the top right corner of the video, then report and choose one of the flags to alert us.
