Pet Listing Fee on Kijiji
Kijiji provides a safe and trusted platform for finding pets within your local community. We work closely with our engaged user base and reputable animal welfare organizations across Canada to prevent, detect, and discourage illegal or unethical pet sales.
Listing Fees for Dogs and Cats
- Dogs and Puppies: Individuals posting dogs or puppies for sale on Kijiji are required to pay a listing fee.
- Cats and Kittens: Individuals may post one free listing for a cat or kitten. Any additional cat or kitten listings require a listing fee.
The fee is designed to discourage impulsive sales, promote responsible pet ownership, and provide additional information to help identify and take action against unethical breeders and other bad actors.
Payment and Duration
- The listing fee can be paid using VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or debit cards (VISA Debit/MasterCard Debit).
- Once the fee is paid, your ad will remain active on Kijiji for 31 days.
- At the end of the 31-day period, you may re-list your ad for the same rate.
Important: Your credit card information is never stored by Kijiji.
Exemptions and Support for Animal Welfare
- Registered animal shelters and rescues are exempt from the listing fee. Please post your ads in the designated Shelter/Rescue category.
- Kijiji values the work of animal welfare organizations in communities across Canada and donates a portion of all pet listing fees to support their efforts.
