Kijiji is a community where trust matters. Anyone using the Kijiji app will now have the ability to create a free profile to increase their credibility with other members. Whether you’re the buyer or the seller, you’ll be able to view profiles, create your own, and get to know each other before you make a deal!
When you click on a member’s profile, you will see 5 pieces of information:
- Their nickname
- Their profile photo (if added)
- Their average response time
- How long they’ve been a member of Kijiji
- Whether or not their email has been confirmed
How Can I Look at a Profile?
Both buyer and seller profiles can be viewed once they have sent you a message. Open your Chat section in the app and click on the photo or icon next to their last message.
To see a seller’s profile before contacting them, click on their nickname or photo on the Ad Detail page.
Can I See My Own Profile?
Yes, you can! To see your own profile information, open the Kijiji app and click on Profile. The information shown at the top of the screen will be what other members will see when clicking on your profile.
Do I Have to Include a Photo?
Adding a photo can make you appear more genuine and help build trust in transactions, however, they are completely optional. If you’re not comfortable using a photo, that’s okay too!
How do I Add A Profile Photo?

4 | Select a photo from your camera’s library or take a new one. Crop as needed. |
How do I Remove A Profile Photo?
Photos can be replaced by following the steps to add a photo and choosing a new one.
To remove the photo without adding a new one, follow the steps below:
1 | Exit the app and go to Kijiji.ca on a browser. |
2 | Login, then click My Kijiji (the button showing your profile photo at the top of the page). |
4 | Click Remove under the profile photo on the right side of the page. |
Your profile photo will be removed from both the main site and the app. If you don’t see it disappear, try refreshing the app. If it is still linked to your profile, double check that you’ve removed the photo from the same account you’re logged into on the app.
