🏳️ How Do I Report a Reply or Block a User?

If another member is being impolite, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate, you can block them to prevent further messages. Blocking a user will stop them from replying to any of your messages or listings. Likewise, you will not be able to reply to their messages or listings while they are blocked.

Tip: You can unblock a user at any time as long as the conversation still exists. If the conversation is deleted or expires, the block becomes permanent.


📌 Blocking a User
On Desktop:
  • Open My Messages.
  • Click on the conversation with the member you want to block.
  • Click Block under their name.
On the App:

You can block a user directly via chat:

Block:

  • Open the app and tap Chat.
  • Locate the conversation you want to block. Swipe left to reveal the options.
  • Tap the prohibition symbol to Block User.

Note: You can also delete the conversation by tapping the garbage can icon. Keep in mind that deleting the conversation makes the block permanent and you will not be able to unblock the user later.

Unblock:

  • Open the app and tap Chat.
  • Open the conversation you want to unblock.
  • Tap Unblock at the bottom of the screen.
  • Important: You can only unblock a user if the conversation still exists. Once the conversation is deleted, the block cannot be reversed from the app.


⚠️ Additional Notes
  • Avoid blocking Kijiji or other users via your email provider, as this can prevent you from receiving legitimate messages from Kijiji in the future.
  • Always use My Kijiji or the app chat to block users.
  • If you have previously blocked a user via email and are not receiving messages from Kijiji, marking Kijiji as a safe sender will not fix the issue. In this case, please contact our support team to report the problem.
