We’ve recently seen an influx of Kijiji sellers being sent Interac Money Requests similar to the example below. Please note that the fraudulent buyer has sent a
REQUEST for money which means if you click accept request, you will be
SENDING the money to the buyer instead of the buyer paying you. Unfortunately once the money is sent it is no longer recoverable. These are legitimate requests sent via Interac however the wording for the
REQUEST is different from an Interac
PAYMENT. Please do not click on these links and report it to the police and your bank.
